Babs

bm flinging hair

Just a short note...

Apparently synth-pop hasn't died just yet. And that's a good thing.

Especially when the songs have memorable, hummable melodies; gorgeous chord changes; bleepy bloopy synths; rhythms that make me want to dance all robotic and lyrics I don't understand:

mp3: Barbara Morgenstern - The Operator

This is from her soon to be released album "The Grass Is Greener". I can say no more other than it's fantastic.

Her web site has streams of all her work + a couple of mp3 dloads as well.

  • I absolutely love her previous solo album, Nichts Muss. Such an intricate blend of beautiful synth melodies and all kinds of rhythmic accents. Didn't know she had a new album coming up, Great News.

  • to be honest, i wasn't that enamoured of "Nichts Muss" but i did really like last years duet with lippock "tesri". the new one is even better again i think - more complex, better melodies etc.

  • Oh, that was nice -- The Operator's definitely going to send me off to iTunes or similar looking for more of her stuff. Ta!
