the second compilation of music made by people who inhabit the "i hate music" forum including a track by me.

that's a fine track. i love those cricket sounds. they make me think of summer nights in the south of france. except that this seems to be an open landscape, steppe, desert or something. the recurring oscillating bird-like cries give this a very natural feel as well. remind me somehow of eno's on land. is this inspired by a place in australia?

alex - thanks once again for your kind comments. there was no direct inspiration from any place but, from my "studio" window, i can see the illawarra escarpment - a tall cliff that follows the coastline. in all honesty it was completed very quickly, fueled by an alcoholic afternoon and my explorations of the weirder presets on my new synth. don't think i'll get much love from the IHM crowd but i think it's a good balance to the noisier things on the comp.
